Whew! Talk about a long weekend! Gigantic thanks to everyone who stopped by my table at Tsubasacon & came out to see Sunday's Iron Artist event ^^ It was a ton of fun & I managed to eke out an unexpected win against the incredibly talented MichaelMayne (err, holy crap o_o)! I'll be back at Tsubasacon next year to (hopefully) defend my title 6(>w<)9!!
For those of you who commissioned marker sketches - thank you so much! I never know what people are going to request, so you guys always manage to keep me on my toes XD Final commissions count for the weekend was a whopping 30 total, which blew me away considering that Tsubasacon had an attendance of about 1,300 this year (for perspective, I did 70-odd commissions at Otakon this year, which had an attendance of 30,000+). A big thanks to Kara, Nicole, & friends; you were my best customers of the weekend, and I was so happy to make art for you guys ^^ if anyone out there wanted a sketch but didn't get a chance to commission one, just scroll down to the Commissions widget below to order a sketch online^^b
Next Convention: YOUMACON, November 1-4, Detroit, MI
I'll be selling jewelry and prints and taking commission requests at this year's Youmacon in Detroit, MI, so if you're going to be there, stop by and say hi!

I'm back!
Sort of!
Mostly, I'm really very busy working on The Girl With No Name, which means not much time for posting. I've settled on doing the entire book in watercolor, which means I have a LOT of work ahead of me. Check back here from time to time for updates, as I'll be posting progress shots of some of the (non-spoiler) pages (~_^)!
I'll be back...
Promise.
All Future 2013 Convention Plans CANCELED
Beginning with this month's Ikasucon, I am canceling all my planned conventions for the remainder of the year. Why? Well, I've got some major art projects up in the air and they need my full attention! Selling at cons is always a fantastic time for me, but the amount of time I have to invest preparing, traveling to, participating in, and traveling back means devoting nearly two weeks to each convention I attend. Those lost days really add up, especially if I happen to get sick after a con (AnimeBoston, AnimeNEXT, I'm looking at you ). It's high time I got back to focusing on my illustration work, and my inner hermit is looking forward to hol
AnimeNEXT Wrap-Up + Ikasucon!
So I ended up heading off to AnimeNEXT not fully recovered from the con plague I caught at Anime Boston, got through the weekend with a fair amount of energy, and was promptly knocked out by con plague again after I got home. I can say quite emphatically that I'm REALLY sick of being sick!!
However, I had a lovely time at NEXT, and was pleased to meet (and room with) ~MoonYen (https://www.deviantart.com/moonyen) and her adorable BabyBun  I think I fell in love with BabyBun a little o(>w<)o! The staff at NEXT were also lovely, helpful people (even though it was occasionally rather hard to hear announcements over Main Events right behind the AA curtain), a
